Internal Auditor ConsultantThe Internal Auditor Consultant will report to the Internal Audit Senior Director. In this role you will be responsible for providing objective examinations of evidence for providing independent assessment to the Audit Committee, management and outside parties on the adequacy and effectiveness of governance, risk, management and control processes.Our leadership model is about developing great leaders at all levels and creating opportunities for our people to grow – personally, professionally, and financially. We are looking for leaders that are energized by creative and critical thinking, building and sustaining high-performing teams, getting results the right way, and fostering continuous learning.ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:Independently execute end-to-end internal audits, including performing effective risk assessments, planning, assessing the design of controls, testing the effectiveness of controls and reporting results to managementConduct financial, operational and compliance audits and provide consulting services to the organization's management and staffAssist in identifying and evaluating the organization's risk areas and provide input to the development of the Annual Audit PlanPerform audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and proceduresIdentify, develop, and document audit issues and recommendations using independent judgement concerning areas being reviewedCommunicate the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management and the Board of DirectorsConduct interviews, review documents, develop and administer surveys, compose summary memos, and prepare working papersDevelop and maintain productive client and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetingsUses data analytics tools to analyze datasets, identify trends and anomalies, and support audit conclusionsApplies basic AI-enabled tools and automation to improve audit efficiency, streamline testing, and assist with documentationPerforms data analysis procedures under guidance to support risk identification and control evaluationEnsures data used in audits is reasonably complete and accurate to support conclusionsSeeks opportunities to incorporate analytics and technology into audit work to improve effectivenessQualificationsIn this role, you will need:A bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related fieldA minimum of 7 years of prior relevant experienceAt least 3 years of internal audit experienceAt least 2 years of healthcare experience preferredWorking knowledge of AI tools, models and platforms including associated risks, controls, and governance considerationStays updated on data and AI trends, technologies, and regulations, applying insights to audit engagements and supporting the education of data and AI risks and controls to audit teamsCertified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferredOther certifications are a plusHybridThis role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week.
