This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring smooth month-end closes, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. Beyond routine accounting duties, the position offers the opportunity to contribute to projects aimed at improving efficiency, enhancing customer experience, and increasing profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesBookkeepingHandle day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliationsMaintain organized financial records in compliance with regulatory standardsMonth-End CloseManage and execute the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reportingReconcile accounts, verify data accuracy, and maintain the integrity of financial recordsFinancial ReportingPrepare comprehensive financial and performance reportsAnalyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risksReview and discuss financial reports with team members and owners, providing actionable feedbackCollaborationEngage frequently with business owners and other team members to align financial strategies with operational goalsProvide financial insights to support business decisions and strategic planningProcess Improvement ProjectsUtilize available time to spearhead projects that enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitabilityDevelop creative and strategic solutions to address challenges and improve systemsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum of 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experienceStrong understanding of financial principles, reporting, and reconciliation processesExceptional attention to detail and ability to follow instructions meticulously when requiredDemonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically to solve problems and develop innovative solutionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with team members and leadershipProficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced skills in Microsoft ExcelKey CompetenciesIntelligent and resourceful, with a keen analytical mindsetHighly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneouslyAdaptable and open to learning, with a proactive approach to improvement and problem-solvingStrong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departmentsWhat We OfferA dynamic work environment where your contributions directly impact the success of the businessOpportunities to engage in meaningful projects beyond traditional accounting dutiesA supportive team culture focused on growth, collaboration, and innovationCompetitive compensation package and benefits
