Job Description

Interns join a mission where they learn more about how we’ve become one of the most trusted nonprofits brands in the industry. ALSAC’s Program offers an immersive experience where interns experience our culture, contribute to organization’s goals through projects, and build relationships with team members and senior leadership. During the summer internship, interns are assigned to a day-to-day manager where they are with provided meaningful assignments. ALSAC/St.Jude was selected as the 100 best internship programs in the U.S. in 2022 by WayUp and Yello.

Start Date: September 22, 2025
End Date: January 2026
Hours: 20 hours a week (Monday‑Friday)
Pay Rate: Based on work location
Work Location: Headquarters Office in Memphis, TN or Remote

Requirements

• MUST be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• MUST be comfortable with Zoom and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Ability to work in a team environment but also work strong independently.
• Ability to be organized and detailed to balance several projects simultaneously.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Support data‑related projects by identifying user needs, collecting data, performing data analysis and visualizing insights.
• Deliver insights and recommendations to customers using storytelling skills.
• Ensure documentation is in the enterprise data catalog as appropriate.
• Engage cross‑functional stakeholders (ITS, Legal, InfoSec, Marketing, Business Partners, etc.) to understand user requirements and ensure data accuracy and availability.
• Perform data cleaning and wrangling for analysis and analytics modeling.

Skills Required

• Comfort in presenting to executive level team members; good communication and storytelling skills.
• Data management and analytic skills with attention to detail.
• Collaboration, organization, and time management skills.
• Eager to contribute & not shy about sharing thoughts with the team.
• Experience with technologies and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Python is a plus; exposure to M/L and statistical analysis is also a plus but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Majors in computer or data science, statistics, or management information systems, or other related majors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• SQL Server knowledge.
• Technical skills: SQL & Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preferred: Python, Tableau & Data Catalog.
