Intermediate Care Unit Specialist
MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a dedicated full-time Intermediate Care Unit Specialist to join a committed team at a well-respected acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas!
Salary Range: $84,830 - $102,982 annually
Primary Duties
Patient Monitoring: Consistently observe and evaluate patients' vital signs and health status, promptly addressing any changes in condition.
Clinical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' medical status and recovery, recording observations and updating the healthcare team as necessary.
Work Schedule: Night shifts with adaptable hours.
Medication and Treatment Delivery: Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, adhering strictly to medical protocols.
Care Coordination: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to develop and implement personalized care plans for each patient.
Emergency Response: Act quickly in medical emergencies, delivering essential care and performing life-saving actions as required.
Qualifications
- RN License
- CPR-BCLS Certification (to be completed by end of orientation)
- ACLS Certification (to be completed by end of orientation)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (to be completed by end of orientation)
- Proficiency with computer data entry
- Skilled in the use of therapeutic medical devices
- Maintains a professional appearance and conduct at all times
- Deep understanding of the nursing process and established care standards
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with care
