Interior Projects Operations ManagerJob Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Manage materials and equipment ordering processes for Remodel DepartmentManage Field Superintendent/project schedulingManage Designer(s) and work with sales and RME-G for reviewsManage shop inventory, material purchasing, van stock programsOversee and manage budgets for each projectDemonstrate management/leadership abilities including training, coaching, and mentoring field personnelManage timecards & vacation schedules for assigned staff membersEffective interaction with customersSet and manage productivity and performance expectations for field personnelEnsure that work outside scope is identified for change ordersProvide all appropriate field documentation to close out projectsProvide schedule for installer and track hours assigned to projectsLead regular Staff Meetings- provide updates to Department Manager as neededProvide accurate project status updates to Department ManagerConduct regular job site safety audits, provide a safe working environment for all employees, maintain weekly Tool Box Talks, and comply with all company safety practicesConducts performance reviews and assessments on Operations staffInterviews field personnelParticipate in corporate meetings, managers meetings, remodel department meetings and company eventsOther duties as assignedItems below apply when someone is out of the office or behind and needs help:Schedule field techniciansAttend Contractor meetingsIssue POs for Material/ Equipment RentalsExpectations:Believe In, Live, and Support Our Mission Statement, Core Values and Business Plan DailySafety FirstStart each meeting with a Safety TopicComplete Monthly Jobsite Visits/ObservationsHold team accountable for all Safety InitiativesPromote Safe Driving of Company Vehicles and Personal Vehicles (with car allowance) – Self and TeamCommunicate effectively and professionally within the department and with internal and external customersUnderstand and Follow HR and Safety Initiatives and ProcessesConduct Weekly Meetings with Team – Superintendents, Administration, Sales, Design, etc.Update status on all jobs – materials, equipment rentals, subcontractors, intercompany jobs, etc.Determine jobs to be billed, know projections for the month for Construction/Remodel, ensure daily/weekly billing for Service and InspectionsConfirm required payment terms on open jobsTimely Review and Sign Off on ReportsActive, Inactive, Greater than 50% ProfitabilityLiens and NoticesTrack and Ensure Profitability of DepartmentOversee Change Order ManagementPromote and Track Department Growth – stretch goal of 20%/year (Remodel, Service, and Inspections); department goals to be discussed annuallySupport and Ensure Team Adherence to All Company SOPs – Job Set Up, Contracts, Change Orders, Purchase Orders, Accounting Processes, Subcontractors, etc.Ensure jobs are set up in the correct department – i.e. SC, SR, SS, SD, SI, etc.Ensure Inventory Control measures are in place for departmentEnsure multiple bids for Material Purchasing optimizationManage Subcontractors and review/approve all subcontractor invoices prior to paymentReview Budget vs. Actual Job Costing Details and review findings with department for improvement opportunitiesMaximize Labor Production and Efficiency while maintaining quality standardsOverhead Review – semi-annual meetings with leadershipMaintain Quality Control in all aspects of the departmentEnsure Customer Satisfaction and respond to Customer Satisfaction Survey feedback improvement opportunitiesReduce Turnover and Increase Retention within departmentTrainingInput and Development of Training RequirementsCommitment to Training at all levels for all team membersBe an Expert on Every Aspect of Your Business/DepartmentReports – Sales, Active/Inactive, WIP, Liens and Notices, Unapproved Change Orders, etc.Operations – Labor/Productivity, Materials PurchasingSalesAdministrationTeamwork – maintain positive interactions within your team, local office, same department in other offices, Accounting, etc.Knowledge:Must have knowledge of fire sprinkler piping systems which includes fabrication of related piping and the various materials and applicable joining methodsUnderstand fire protection installation requirementsAbility to properly read fire protection blueprintsMinimum education of High School Diploma or equivalentKnowledgeable with NFPA 13 rules and all necessary codesNicet II and III certification preferredKnowledge of P&L a plusExperience or knowledge of ExcelWork Experience:Minimum of 5 years of field experience with fire sprinkler system installationMinimum of 3 years or supervisory experience requiredSkills and Competencies:Ability to take direction from senior managementAccurately complete and maintain all paperworkMust have valid state driver's license and good driving recordSelf-motivated, ambitious, and interactiveCommunicative, detail-oriented, and organizedAbility to interact and communicate in a professional and positive manner with other trades, customers, project managers, county officials, general contractors, etc.Demonstrate positive team work and ability to be a team leader and mentorComplete projects in a timely manner while providing the highest standard of quality work and customer satisfactionExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficient in the use of personal computer to include Windows operating systems
