About Us
TEW Design Studio is a dynamic and creative interior design firm known for thoughtful, innovative, and human-centered work. We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Interior Design Intern to join our collaborative design team. This internship is ideal for someone who wants to learn how a professional design studio runs, balancing creative work with organizational responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support the team with documents, proposals, and client files
- Assist with product sourcing and research for active projects
- Help create and revise floor plans, elevations, and renderings under designer guidance
- Shadow team members during client meetings and site visits, and help with measurements and installation days
- Contribute to studio and library organization and vendor scheduling
- Assist with package inspection and communication with vendors
What You’ll Learn
- How design projects move from concept to completion
- How to source materials and work with high-end vendors
- How to prepare professional documentation and presentations
- How designers work with clients, fabricators, and contractors
- Real-world use of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Chief Architect, and other studio tools
Who You Are
A
- student, recent graduate, or career changer with an interest in interior design
- Prior experience in design, architecture, or a related field is a plus but not required
- Must be familiar with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
- Preferably familiar with (or eager to learn) Chief Architect and Photoshop
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
- A clear communicator with a professional demeanor
- Comfortable with both creative and administrative tasks
- Interested in building a long-term career in interior design and growing with a studio
Schedule
- 20-30 hours/week, flexible around classes
- Studio hours are Mon-Fri 9-5
- In-person at our studio (not remote)
