Base Pay Range

$40.00/hr – $45.00/hr

Our Vaco team is partnering with a healthcare client on an interim contract‑to‑hire Senior Accountant. This role is for individuals with physician or hospital healthcare experience (e.g., dental, urgent care, hospital, ASC, surgery center). Joint venture experience is also a plus. Candidates without physician accounting experience will not be considered .

It is a contract‑to‑hire opportunity, with an expected FTE salary of $80,000–$85,000. The Senior Accounting consultant will support month‑end close for healthcare facilities, with a heavy emphasis on contract management and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support month‑end close for healthcare facilities.
• Focus on contract management and analysis of healthcare services.
• Perform payroll accounting, intercompany entries, cash handling, and traditional GL accounting.
• Will work overtime during month‑end close.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of full‑cycle accounting experience in a multi‑site, acute care, or physician‑based healthcare organization.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
• Experience with payroll accounting, intercompany entries, and cash management.
• Available to start by January 5.
• Must live within the continental United States.

Employment Type

Contract (40 hrs/week) with expected overtime up to 2 weeks per month.
