Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for a/an Interim, Part-Time Contracts Counsel for an emerging life sciences organization.
Overview: Our client seeks a skilled transactional attorney to assist with review, negotiation and drafting of a variety of commercial agreements.
Company: Our client is a clinical stage life sciences organization focusing on the treatment of cancer, diabetes, and inflammatory illnesses.
Experience: Five or more years advising clients on commercial agreements acquired in a life sciences organization and/or a top law firm.
Location: Fully remote.
Responsibilities Include:
- Review, negotiate, and draft a variety of commercial agreements including confidential disclosure agreements (CDAs), master service agreements, (MSAs), statements of work (SOWs), sponsor agreements, non-transfer agreements (NTAs), and vendor agreements.
- Serve as a point of contact for the client’s business development teams and corporate teams as contractual questions arise.
- Conduct legal research as needed.
- Provide candidate and direct guidance regarding risks and liabilities arising in agreements.
Qualifications Include:
- Excellent academic credentials including a law degree from a well-respected, accredited, national law school.
- Five or more years of experience acquired in a law firm and/or life sciences environment advising on transactional agreements.
- Experience reviewing, negotiating, and drafting high volumes of contracts.
- Excellent attention to detail in written and oral communication.
Pay rate: $105
Individual compensation offered for this position within the pay range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
