Interim OR Manager Needed in Bismarck, North Dakota!

The Position

• An Interim OR Manager is needed to lead operating room operations at a Level II trauma center performing approximately 7,800 surgical cases annually.
• Reporting dually to the Medical Director of Anesthesia and Director of Surgery, this leader will oversee approximately 55 FTEs.
• Key responsibilities include establishing clear leadership expectations for staff support, healthy communication, excellence, and teamwork; promoting surgeon satisfaction through increased leadership visibility and proactive communication; and identifying improvements to patient scheduling, staff scheduling, and room turnover times to maximize prime-time utilization and support increased case volumes.
• The ideal candidate will have perioperative leadership experience in a similarly sized trauma center and strong process improvement skills. Experience leading unionized teams and integrating traveling staff is highly preferred. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical.
• Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

• BSN required; master's degree strongly preferred.
• Active North Dakota RN license or multistate RN license required.
• A minimum of seven years of perioperative nursing experience and five years of leadership experience required.
• Ability to circulate and/or scrub as needed required.

Compensation Details

• Compensation Range: $160,000 to $170,000 annually.
• The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
• The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
