We are currently partnering with a client seeking an Interim Controller to step in and provide immediate support with month-end close, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can quickly assess the accounting environment, take ownership of key deliverables, and keep deadlines moving without a lengthy ramp-up period.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and complete the full monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely results
- Prepare, compile, and distribute key financial reports
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Review general ledger activity and ensure transactions are properly recorded
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and other month-end adjustments
- Support balance sheet and income statement analysis
- Help maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Identify and resolve accounting issues that could impact month-end deadlines or reporting
- Partner with internal stakeholders to gather financial information and respond to reporting needs
- Provide additional accounting and special-project support as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Strong, hands-on Controller or senior-level accounting experience
- Demonstrated experience independently managing month-end close
- Strong financial reporting and general ledger accounting background
- Advanced understanding of reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation
- Ability to step into an existing environment, learn quickly, and work with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Comfortable in an individual contributor role with no direct reports
