Interim Controller
Our client, a fast‑growing digital health technology company, is seeking an experienced Interim Controller to lead critical accounting operations during year‑end close and audit preparation.
The role offers a hybrid work arrangement based in Emeryville, CA, with occasional onsite collaboration. This engagement has an expected duration of 2‑3 months.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
- Direct and oversee daily accounting activities, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and cash receipts.
- Manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow analysis; monitor performance and analyze variances.
- Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures; coordinate with external auditors for audit readiness.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to leadership to support strategic decision‑making and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Licensed CPA with Big 4 public accounting experience (required).
- Hands‑on operator with proven success in year‑end close and audit preparation.
- Proficiency in NetSuite (required).
- Experience in inventory accounting or healthcare/MedTech industry.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP.
Compensation
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to: the individual's skill sets, experience, and training; licensure and certifications; office location and other geographic considerations; other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan. Salary range for the role: $195,000.00–$210,000.00.
