Duties
Advises on legal matters, implements legislation, and provides policies to guide field operating activities in executing natural resource and public use management programs.
Ensures policies align with existing laws. Directs responses to inquiries from the White House, Congress, and federal agencies. Supervises NRM research and development.
Represents the Chief of Engineers in conferences with federal, state, and municipal agencies to ensure program coordination and formulate policies and procedures.
Formulates Corps policies for the development, management, and preservation of land and natural resources on Civil Works lands and waters.
Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets priorities, and establishes schedules for work completion. Assigns work to individuals or teams based on priorities.
