Environmental Program ManagerYou will serve as the lead environmental program manager for the cleanup of an installation with the responsibility for developing and implementing the cleanup strategies related to closure in an expeditious and cost-effective manner.You will be responsible for reviewing the environmental cleanup programs, implementing necessary cleanup actions, and identifying cleanup acceleration opportunities to expedite conveyance of real property.You will serve as the DON spokesperson on all matters related to the environmental cleanup programs, including serving as the DON Co-chairperson on the Restoration Advisory Board (RAB).You will conduct a broad range of community relations programs designed to inform the public about the Navy and Marine Corps environmental cleanup programs and its impact.Must be a US Citizen.Must be determined suitable for federal employment.Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level.Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.Males born after must be registered for Selective Service.You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.You will be required to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty.This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.You will be required to possess, obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.If selected for series 0819, incumbent must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) License. Failure to provide proof of said licensure with application package will be deemed ineligible.
