The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking outstanding Intensivists to join the Cardiothoracic ICU team at Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside, NY. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a collaborative and hardworking team dedicated to quality outcomes, teaching, and research within a young Cardiovascular Surgery Program. Successful candidates will receive an academic appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and contribute to a highly-ranked institution.
Practice Info
- Cardiothoracic ICU at Mount Sinai South Nassau includes 10-12 Bed CTICU/CVICU.
- Handles routine and complex cardiac surgical cases.
- Work with a team of PAs/NPs, residents, and fellows.
- Outstanding collaborative and collegial work environment with a large intensive care group (15-18 cardiovascular intensivists).
- Opportunities for academic involvement in research and teaching.
- Ideally located in the Greater New York City area.
Responsibilities
- Manage patients before/after cardiothoracic surgery and after complex cardiac procedures.

Compensation
- Highly competitive compensation package.
- Compensation range from $358,000 to $426,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).

Requirements
- Training in a Critical Care fellowship is a must.
- Experience as an attending with critically ill cardiac and cardiothoracic patients is an asset.
- Proficient with standard intensive care procedures (central lines, S-G catheter placement etc).
- BE or BC in Critical Care Medicine.
- Medical degree from an accredited university.
- New York State Medical License.
