City of Hope Medical Group seeks an Education Director for Integrative Oncology to lead education at the Cherng Family Center for Integrative Oncology. This physician leader will help shape the future of integrative oncology education by advancing evidence‑based training programs, fostering interdisciplinary learning, and integrating education, clinical care, and research. Based in Southern California, the director will prepare the next generation of integrative oncology leaders while improving the lives of patients locally, nationally, and globally.

Position Highlights

The successful candidate will provide patient‑centered care in collaboration with a diverse and nationally recognized team of physicians at City of Hope while serving as the Director of Education. This unique physician leadership role combines education leadership and clinical practice, providing strategic direction for the Center's educational mission while maintaining an active integrative oncology practice. The director will lead the development of innovative educational programs for clinicians, trainees, patients, and the community; oversee fellowship and professional training programs; cultivate strategic academic partnerships; and promote the national dissemination of evidence‑based integrative oncology. Working closely with clinical and research leadership, the Education Director will translate scientific discoveries and clinical expertise into high‑impact educational initiatives, helping establish City of Hope as a premier destination for integrative oncology education worldwide.

Salary Range

$275,000 – $425,000. The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full‑time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.

Qualifications

  • Mid‑career or senior M.D. or D.O. physician with subspecialty, postgraduate training, and expertise in integrative oncology.
  • Demonstrated leadership in medical education, fellowship or curriculum development, and academic program administration.
  • Strong commitment to evidence‑based integrative oncology, clinical excellence, and interdisciplinary education.
  • Ideal candidates will be individuals in active medical oncology or hematology practice, with consideration for supportive care or medicine specialties as well (e.g., palliative care).
  • Must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active California medical license.
  • Board certification/eligibility in an appropriate medical specialty.
