Integration Engineer – Entry Level
Location: Syracuse, NY – Onsite
Pay: $29+ per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, four 10-hour shifts
Employment Type: Long-Term Contract | Multiple Openings
Sapphire Recruitment is hiring Entry-Level Integration Engineers to support the integration team at an established defense technology company in the Syracuse area.
This is a great opportunity for candidates who want to apply their STEM education to complex systems, testing, and technical problem-solving in a collaborative engineering environment.
No prior professional experience is required. Relevant coursework, academic projects, internships, laboratory experience, and other hands-on technical experience will be considered.
What You’ll Do
- Support system integration and testing activities.
- Assist with developing and testing system requirements, interfaces, and architectures.
- Work with engineering team members to support project objectives and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Complete assigned technical work independently and collaboratively.
- Document results and contribute to ongoing integration and testing efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline is a must.
- Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical/Computer Engineering preferred; other STEM degrees, including Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, will also be considered.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a full Secret security clearance. Applicants are not required to already hold a clearance. The clearance process will be facilitated as part of the hiring process.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
- Experience with system requirements, interfaces, or architectures.
- Familiarity with Agile development environments.
- Exposure to modern DevOps tools and principles.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
