Comprehensive care offered all in one place enables physicians, therapists and staff to work closely together, so that patients and families achieve better outcomes. Collaborative care is also more efficient.

In many cases, IBJI services are substantially less expensive than those provided by large healthcare systems and emergency rooms.Job ResponsibilitiesTo execute established best practices relative to insurance requirements to maximize incoming revenue expected for services renderedUnderstand current insurance related policies, procedures and limitationsSupport front desk explaining insurance benefit and therapy costsSupport clinical staff with timely and transparent worker's compensation approval statusFoster relationships with physicians, administrative and clinical staff, patients, insurance representatives, and worker's compensation carrier representativesCommunicate in a transparent and professional manner, adding to a positive work environmentAdopt a team oriented approach, supporting the team in other concentrated areas of verification, eligibility, pre-certification/authorization as called upon by the CoordinatorRepresent IBJI core valuesVerify commercial insurance benefits within 48-72 hours in advance of the patient initial appointmentFollow established protocols for entering the insurance benefit information or authorization status into the Rehab specific EMRReview eligibility dashboard daily to correct issuesManage pre-certification/worker's compensation authorization process and communicationSupport the front desk in patient account issue resolutionCommunicate patient benefit discrepancies or lack of coverage with the locationScanning, faxing, and other clerical dutiesAssist in maintaining a clean and safe work environmentAll other duties as assignedRequirementsAssociates Degree or higher (Healthcare concentration preferred) and/or the equivalent of 2 years of healthcare insurance verification experienceDisplays professional and effective writing and verbal communication skillsVersed in technical skills such as EMR software; Windows; MS Office; Email access; internetTyping speed minimum 40 words per minuteAbility to lift a maximum of 10 pounds to waist heightAbility to be standing and sitting on a frequent basis during the dayAbility to work on a computer on a frequent basis during the dayBase salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
