JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
- Handling sophisticated insurance coverage and recovery matters on behalf of policyholders.
- Working directly with insurance company adjusters and underlying defense counsel to pursue coverage.
- Analyzing a wide variety of commercial insurance policies and coverage issues.
- Supporting significant and complex policyholder disputes and claims.
- Managing a busy and varied caseload as part of a highly collaborative practice.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:
- At least 4 years of experience in insurance coverage or insurance recovery.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance policies and coverage issues.
- Experience representing policyholders in sophisticated insurance matters.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively with clients, insurers, defense counsel and colleagues.
- Experience at a major law firm or established policyholder/insurance boutique is preferred.
