The group is open to attorneys ranging from second-year associates through highly experienced senior associates, with title and compensation calibrated to experience, litigation capability and overall fit.

This is a strong opportunity for attorneys who want a broad civil-defense practice with meaningful case ownership, direct client interaction and substantial litigation responsibility.

About the Practice

The firm’s defense practice handles a wide variety of matters arising from general liability and casualty insurance lines.

Representative matters include:

  • General liability and casualty defense

The team represents both insurers and insured clients and is experienced in handling high-exposure cases from initial investigation through settlement, dispositive motion practice and trial.

The firm is particularly known for hands-on litigation. Attorneys are expected to develop strong case strategy, communicate directly with clients and carriers, and take meaningful responsibility for the matters they handle.

In addition to base salary, the firm offers a highly competitive performance-based bonus structure, with strong-performing attorneys commonly earning approximately $50,000-$60,000 in annual bonus compensation.

Senior candidates with substantial litigation experience will be considered toward the upper end of the range.

This role is particularly attractive for attorneys seeking:

  • A respected Texas defense platform
  • A broad insurance defense and general liability docket
  • Meaningful case ownership
  • Direct carrier and client interaction
  • Substantial deposition, hearing and trial exposure
  • Flexibility for both developing and highly experienced litigators
