A well-established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage practice. This role offers the opportunity to advise clients on complex insurance coverage matters, manage sophisticated coverage disputes, and handle all phases of insurance coverage litigation.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, exceptional research and writing skills, and substantial experience interpreting insurance policies and litigating coverage-related matters. Responsibilities:
Provide legal counsel and strategic guidance on insurance coverage issues, including policy interpretation, claims handling, and dispute resolution.
Manage and litigate complex insurance coverage and insurance bad faith matters through all stages of the legal process.
Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy and client advisement.
Draft pleadings, motions, coverage opinions, and other legal documents.
Represent clients in litigation proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
Review and analyze insurance policies, claims files, and related documentation to assess coverage positions and potential exposures.
Monitor and stay current on developments in insurance law, regulations, and emerging industry trends.
Collaborate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals to deliver exceptional client service.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the Washington State Bar; admission to the Oregon State Bar is preferred.
Minimum of five to seven years of experience in insurance coverage, insurance coverage litigation, and/or insurance bad faith litigation.
Demonstrated experience analyzing complex insurance policies and managing sophisticated coverage disputes.
Exceptional analytical, research, writing, and advocacy skills.
Strong verbal and interpersonal communication abilities.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
High degree of professionalism, sound judgment, and commitment to client service.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $170,000 – $190,000 annually . Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
