Roles and Responsibilities:
- Handle personal injury cases from inception to resolution, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, and court appearances.
- Conduct legal research using tools like Westlaw to inform case strategy and filings.
- Draft and review contracts, pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement documents.
- Represent clients in State and Federal courts, including mediations, negotiations, and potential trials.
- Collaborate with clients and legal teams to provide strategic legal advice and updates.
- JD from an accredited law school and active New York Bar admission (required).
- 3-5 years of verifiable experience in personal injury and insurance defense litigation.
- Proficiency in legal research tools, especially Westlaw.
- Strong writing, drafting, and courtroom advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
