Busy New York Law Firm is seeking an insurance defense attorney to join its Syracuse team!
Responsibilities
- Manage and defend insurance defense litigation cases from inception through resolution
- Conduct legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and other court documents
- Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations
- Collaborate with clients and insurance carriers to develop defense strategies
- Analyze case files and evidence to build strong defenses
- Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and case law affecting insurance defense
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure timely case progression
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of broad-based litigation experience
- Experience with or strong interest in insurance defense litigation
- Civil litigation experience a plus
- Experience with insurance defense or related a plus
- Defense experience a plus
