Position Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters (Premises Liability, General Liability, Professional Liability, Products Liability) from inception through resolution
• Handle pleadings, discovery, motions and other litigation proceedings
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Develop litigation strategies and case assessments
• Prepare for hearings, mediations and trials
• Represent public entities and other clients in sophisticated civil defense matters

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil litigation experience
• Active California Bar membership in good standing
• Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills
• Strong deposition, motion and discovery experience preferred
• Insurance defense, employment defense, public entity defense or related civil litigation experience strongly preferred

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between ($150,000 - 190,000 annually) Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
