Insurance Coverage Attorney OpportunityThe Chicago office of Kaufman Dolowich, a full-service National Law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas, is actively seeking an attorney to join our growing Insurance Coverage and Litigation Practice.This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced practitioners on sophisticated insurance coverage matters in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Our attorneys receive meaningful hands-on experience, direct client interaction, and strong mentorship while representing national, regional, and international insurance carriers in complex coverage disputes across a broad range of insurance lines.ResponsibilitiesManage a litigation caseload from inception through resolutionAnalyze insurance policies and evaluate complex coverage issuesDraft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, disclaimer letters, and other coverage-related correspondenceLitigate insurance coverage matters, including handling depositions, motion practice, mediations, hearings, and trialsDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documentsCommunicate directly with clients and provide strategic guidance and regular case updatesCollaborate closely with attorneys across offices and practice groups on complex coverage and litigation mattersQualificationsAdmission to practice in Illinois required; Indiana admission is a plus3+ years of insurance coverage and/or insurance coverage litigation experienceStrong analytical, writing, research, and communication skillsAbility to independently manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organizational, case management, and interpersonal skillsPreferred ExperienceProfessional liability coverageDirectors & Officers (D&O) liability coverageFinancial institutions coverageCoverage opinion drafting and policy analysisInsurance coverage litigation, including motion practice and depositionsWhy Join Kaufman Dolowich?Collaborative and entrepreneurial culture with strong mentorship and supportSignificant opportunities for professional growth, client development, and advancementUnlimited PTO for AttorneysCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageRobust discretionary and billable-based bonus opportunitiesMeaningful client contact and hands-on litigation experienceBase Salary Range: $130,000-$200,000Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer.
