This opportunity offers a clear path to Senior Counsel or Non-Equity Partner for the right candidate. The position is fully on-site and ideal for attorneys who enjoy working closely with clients and developing long-term professional relationships.
The firm handles complex insurance coverage and defense matters and values attorneys who bring strong litigation skills, initiative, and a collaborative mindset. Responsibilities
- Handle insurance coverage and defense matters through various stages of litigation
- Analyze policies and provide legal guidance on coverage issues
- Draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
- Conduct depositions, discovery, and case strategy development
- Communicate effectively with clients and build strong professional relationships
- Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on case management
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience (general liability, insurance defense, or related defense litigation background)
- Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the Illinois State Bar
- Ability to work on-site five days per week in Dallas
- Strong research, writing, and litigation skills
- 1,900 billable hours annually
