A national litigation firm with a growing Chicago coverage group has multiple openings for insurance coverage attorneys. The work is insurer-side across specialty and commercial lines, from coverage analysis through litigation. Illinois-licensed attorneys can work hybrid or onsite.
What You Will Do
- Analyze coverage and draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters and declination letters
- Handle coverage across cyber, directors and officers, professional liability and errors and omissions, and first-party property policies
- Litigate declaratory judgment actions and defend bad faith and extra-contractual claims
- Manage motion practice, discovery and appeals in state and federal court
- Advise carrier clients on claims strategy and exposure
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of insurance coverage experience, ideally representing insurers
- Experience in one or more of: cyber, D&O, professional liability, first-party property, declaratory judgment or bad faith litigation
- Active Illinois bar license in good standing
- Indiana licensure a plus
- Strong writing and analytical skills
