Position requires traveling to clients and conducting safety inspections of worksites and facilities; candidate should be able to identify workplace hazards and submit recommendations for compliance; candidate is also expected to write safety programs and assist in implementation; hold safety classes with client employees when indicated; create safety manuals. Also, site-specific manuals when required; discuss safety protocol with when required.
Ideal candidate has knowledge of OSHA 1926 and 1910 (all sub parts) required; holds certificates and is able to conduct forklift safety training, aerial lift, and boom safety training; OSHA certified trainer and possessing a NYS CR-59 certification is a plus, however, may achieve certification during employment. Ability to travel 50-75% within New York State. Construction sites are located in upstate district with locations in Albany to Buffalo, to Binghamton to Rochester area.
