Our client is seeking an agriculture focused Insurance Broker to help place coverage between retail agencies and carrier partners. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fast‑paced brokerage work, strong market interaction, and managing a diverse commercial portfolio. Responsibilities
- Review submissions and identify appropriate carriers and coverage options
- Rate, quote, and bind small and large commercial accounts
- Facilitate underwriting, rating, and quoting with carrier partners
- Serve as the main contact for agency and carrier relationships
- Maintain and grow a portfolio of brokered accounts
- Provide ongoing service after placement
- Mentor team members and support process improvements
Qualifications
- 10+ years commercial underwriting or brokerage experience
- Degree in Risk Management, Business, Agriculture, or related field
- Insurance license and/or professional designations (CPCU, CIC, etc.)
- Experience with surplus lines preferred
- Proficiency with carrier quoting platforms; Vertafore systems a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and technical skills
- Experience with surplus lines preferred
