Owning the entire billing cycle, the fully remote Insurance Billing Specialist will verify eligibility, submit claims, manage denials, and resolve aged accounts while supporting PST/CST working hours. Key responsibilities Verify eligibility and conduct benefit investigations through payer portals and outreach Submit, track, and follow up on claims to expedite reimbursement and minimize denials Review EOBs and manage the resolution of claims through rebilling, appeals, or escalations Required qualifications Minimum of 3 years of professional insurance billing and eligibility experience Hands-on experience with durable medical equipment (DME) billing Fluency in medical coding and compliance standards (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10) Proficiency with Brightree and NikoHealth; familiarity with other billing/EMR systems is a plus Ability to communicate billing details clearly and empathetically to patients and providers
