Insurance AR Follow-Up Specialist (Contract-to-Hire)Location: Phoenix, AZ 85016Industry: Healthcare / Revenue CycleSchedule: Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 5:00pmPay: $18.50 – $25.00/hourBenefits: This role is eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), paid holidays and plus PTO.Job DescriptionThe Insurance AR Follow-Up Specialist is responsible for managing outstanding accounts receivable by working directly with insurance companies to resolve unpaid or underpaid claims. This position requires a strong understanding of billing processes, denial management, and high-volume follow-up in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFollow up on unpaid and underpaid claims with government and commercial insurance payers in ArizonaManage a daily workload of 45–55 accounts using NextGen work queuesReview and interpret EOBs to identify discrepancies and denial reasonsInvestigate and resolve claim issues via payer portals and outbound callsPrepare and submit appeals for denied claimsTrack and trend payer issues to support resolution and process improvementsMaintain accurate and timely documentation of account activityQualificationsMinimum 1.5+ years of insurance AR follow-up experienceExperience handling high-volume workloads (40+ accounts/day required)Knowledge of government and commercial insurance, including AHCCCSExperience with denials and appeals processesPerksStrong team culture with office events and potlucksOpportunity for long-term growth and permanent placementStable, structured work environment with clear productivity expectationsLeadership support and hands-on training to ensure successAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
