Insurance & Risk Management Director(Healthcare)

Overview

We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Insurance & Risk Management Director to lead risk identification, assessment, and mitigation efforts. This role is responsible for ensuring optimal insurance protections, compliance with regulations, and safeguarding both operational and financial health.

Responsibilities

• Insurance Oversight: Manage and optimize policies, including malpractice, liability, workers’ compensation, and property coverage.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and implement proactive strategies to safeguard operations.
• Claims Management: Partner with providers, legal teams, and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of claims.
• Compliance & Contracts: Review contracts, vendor agreements, and insurance policies for regulatory alignment.
• Leadership: Provide senior leadership with risk assessments and strategic recommendations for cost-effective insurance solutions.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in risk management, corporate insurance, or related roles (healthcare background strongly preferred).
• Expertise: In-depth knowledge of healthcare insurance, malpractice, and financial risk management.
• Skills: Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with legal, finance, and clinical teams.
• Certifications: ARM or CRM preferred.
