Instrumentation TechnicianThis position will report to the Assistant Manager. Travel Requirement: None. Location: Bakersfield, CA. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt. Shift: 3rd shift 10pm-630am.

To learn more, please visit DutiesProficiency on different Instrument, communication and calibration protocols like 4-20 mA, 0-10 VDC, Hart Communicator, PID tuning and calibration. 3-15 PSI I/P's and a proficient knowledge of CCP'sCoordinating electrical and instrument plans between three shifts of instrument control technicians performing technical maintenance and repairs on equipment as well as installationsAssist in creating and verifying current spare parts inventories for plant equipmentAssist in managing and reducing repair costsEnsure scheduled work assignments are completed in a timely manner and required documentation completed.Responsible for opening/closing and completing work orders for repairsInstalls, maintains, repairs, overhauls, calibrates and tests a wide variety of industrial instrumentation that record, indicate, control and regulate level, flow, pressure, temperature, position and water analysisTroubleshoots telemetry and process controller hardwareMaintains a functional knowledge of the operation of the telemetry system software and hardwareMakes periodic preventative maintenance inspections of all metering control instruments, diagnosing existing or potential trouble;Cleans, lubricates, calibrates and adjusts as conditions of all metering control instruments as indicatedPlan, install and place into service new metering controlling and recording devices, calibrating as required, and extend or connect related electrical circuits when neededSupport the calibration of test apparatus and equipment and recordkeeping of said equipment.Other duties as assignedWhat We're Looking ForMinimum Qualifications:Associates Degree in related field; or four (4+) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge of database software, Intranet and Internet software, WMS Warehouse Management SystemsExperience in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word and AccessProven, reliable work historyAdditional Required Qualifications:Excellent communication/interpersonal skillsAbility to interact with a diverse employee population and with internal/external customers in an effective, professional mannerExcellent critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze and interpret common /technical journals and drawings /diagrams, financial reports, and legal documentsAbility to manage multiple projects/repairs simultaneously, set priorities, pro-actively resolve challenges in a fast paced, high pressure environmentExcellent conflict resolution skills, diplomacy, and tactPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience in a fast paced, high volume food production/manufacturing facilityPrior working knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA, USDA and EPA regulationsKnowledge of JDE softwarePhysical Demands:May be required to walk, sit, stand, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch.Ability to lift and/or move 50+ lbs.Occasional exposure to cold (34 degrees) or sub-zero temperaturesWhat We Offer Plus More!Medical, Dental & VisionGroup Life and AD&DVoluntary Life and AD&DGroup Short & Long-Term Disability401(k)Paid Time OffFlexible Spending AccountsEmployee Assistance Program Gym Membership DiscountsEqual Employment OpportunityWe are an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a culturally diverse organization.
