nInstrumentation Operations Engineers are responsible for integrating requirements and programming new instrumentation data acquisition equipment, FTI fiber system, analog and digital signal conditioning hardware during integration and flight test. Works independently or leads a team to execute project, schedule, and technical requirements to meet the goals of the test program.
nOversees installation, checkout, and calibration of data systems, to ensure collected data can be properly displayed, processed, and analyzed. Maintains configuration control, and mission capability of the instrumentation system as well as all associated ground support equipment.
nResponsible for specification, selection, design, integration, operation and maintenance of airborne data acquisition systems, and their related components. This includes telemetry, flight test specific hardware, or prototypes for flight test evaluation.
nSupport preflight, post-flight, and control room activities for all scheduled missions.
nInterface with test ops, maintenance, and management to ensure all instrumentation requirements are coordinated and accounted for.
nMust be able to demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, excellent communicative skills, and the ability to work independently or with a team to execute project, schedule, and technical requirements to meet the goals of the test program.
nMust be willing to work extended hours, off-shift, and weekends as necessary and support occasional travel as required by the Test Program.

nBasic Qualifications:
nBachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience/combined education
nAbility to develop, test, and troubleshoot data acquisition systems and other instrumentation devices
nExperience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and process specifications
nProficient in troubleshooting techniques and tools, including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and other common laboratory equipment
nDesired Skills:
nExperience planning, coordinating, and executing instrumentation modifications
nExcellent written and verbal communication skills
nCandidate must work well individually and with team members across multiple organizations
nAircraft systems operations experience
nPrevious experience with Curtiss-Wright, Safran, or similar instrumentation hardware and flight test instrumentation operations
nBackground in related specialties: signal conditioning, transducers, data acquisition, video protocols and compression, GPS, IRIG 106, and avionics bus protocols such as MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, IEEE 1394, Ethernet, and Fiber Channel

nAbility to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
nWork Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
nSchedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
nPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

n(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

nPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $98,300 - $170,315. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
