Instrumentation & Controls TechnicianThe Instrumentation & Controls Craftsperson is proficient in the calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of field instruments and controls used in industrial environments and provides expert systems support across the site. In this role you'll perform installation, calibration, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of a wide range of process instrumentation. Working closely with operations and engineering teams, this position plays a key role in maintaining equipment reliability, safety, and process performance.We offer a stable, team?oriented work environment where safety, respect, and craftsmanship matter. We value technical skill, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement—and we support ongoing learning and professional growth in the skilled trades.The starting pay for this position is $39.99, with progression to $43.58.Responsibilities Include:Perform calibration, testing, inspection, and maintenance of field instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, and level instrumentsCalibrate and troubleshoot control valves, safety valves, transmitters, and actuatorsRead and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and instrument datasheetsInstall, maintain, and repair pneumatic, electronic, and digital instrumentation systemsDiagnose instrument loop issues and verify loop checks during commissioning and maintenance activitiesPerform functional testing and documentation of calibration results in accordance with company and regulatory standardsTroubleshoot control system issues and work closely with operations and engineering teamsEnsure all work complies with safety regulations, company procedures, and industry standardsMaintain accurate records of maintenance, calibration, and testing activitiesSupport shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency repairs as requiredParticipate in equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and EHS initiativesSupport housekeeping and safe work practices in assigned areasTrain and mentor other employees as neededSafely assist with other maintenance craft work when requiredQualifications:The following are required for the roleJourneyman?level skills in instrumentation and control systems with the ability to pass and maintain qualification testingFamiliarity with DCS and PLC?based control systemsExperience working with diagnostic and test equipmentAbility to safely work on industrial electrical systems relevant to InstrumentationProficiency with hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipmentBasic computer skills using maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications of Excel and WordKnowledge of safety, environmental, maintenance, quality standards and proceduresAbility to work at heights and in confined spacesValid driver's license and ability to operate plant vehiclesAbility to meet the physical demands of the position, with or without accommodationStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environmentWhat We Offer:The base salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography.
