Apply today and help power the systems that keep our world running.Tesco Controls is seeking a Field Service Technician to lead and support on-site commissioning and startup activities for Water and Wastewater control system projects. This role is responsible for commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting instrumentation and motor control cabinets, PLC cabinets, while ensuring all startup activities are thoroughly documented. The position offers the opportunity to apply expertise in PLC programming and automated control processes, working hands-on with advanced equipment in dynamic field environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful project outcomes.What You'll Do:Configures parameters and troubleshoots VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)Troubleshoots instrumentation and control systems using electrical ladder schematicsCalibrates, traces, and corrects control loop malfunctions; participates in the maintenance and production concerning instrument systemsVerifies accuracy of gauges and measuring instruments such as pressure, flow, temperature, pH, turbidity, and conductivity; documents failure rates on specified equipmentStart-up Commissioning Pump/Motor ControlsLoop Check wires from Field to Monitoring DevicesInspect/Commission/Calibrate Instrumentation (Pressure/Level/Flow)Inspect/Commission/Calibrate Analytical Sensors (pH/Chlorine/Turbidity)Troubleshoot Electrical/Control LogicTroubleshoot Instrumentation (Pressure/Level/Flow)Wire modifications to panels per drawingsSite installations of electrical devices/motor controlsRepairs, tests, adjusts, or installs electronic equipment such as industrial controls, transmitters, HMI, VFD, and PLCs.Assembles, installs or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic componentsOther duties as requiredWhat You Bring:College degree preferred or high school with relevant experienceExperience working in a team environmentExperience completing the required paperwork associated with instrumentation Calibration dutiesExperience reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsExperience in writing routine reports and correspondenceExperience in speaking effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizationUnderstanding and practice of AC/DC Voltage measurementDC Current MeasurementProfibus QualifiedExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent attention to detailHigh level of organizational and time management skillsRead, write, and understand the English languageAbility to travelAvailable for 24-hour on-call shiftsUse of Digital MultimetersBasic use of power tools.
