With ~30 employees and strong contractor support, we offer a hands-on environment where safety, teamwork, and technical excellence come first.What You'll DoMaintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and electrical systemsInstall and commission control systems and plant equipmentDiagnose issues across PLCs, VFDs, and turbine control systemsExecute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenanceSupport plant outages and continuous improvement effortsPartner with team members and contractors to ensure safe, reliable operationsWhat You Bring (Required)Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology OR Journeyman-level experience (5+ years)Hands-on experience in industrial electrical and instrumentation maintenanceAbility to read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and one-linesWorking knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and control systemsFamiliarity with National Electrical Code (NEC)Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience safely using electrical test equipment (voltmeters, ammeters, etc.)Technical RequirementsElectrical: Motor control troubleshooting and schematic readingExperience with transformers, grounding systems, and ?5kV switchgearKnowledge of arc flash safety and high-voltage PPEVFD diagnostics and maintenanceInstrumentation: Experience with pressure, flow, level, and temperature devicesKnowledge of control valves, actuators, and control loopsAnalyzers (preferred but valuable): Familiarity with gas analyzers (O?, H?, GC, moisture, pH)Basic understanding of sample conditioning systemsWork RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spacesComfortable working in hot/cold outdoor environmentsWillingness to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as neededAvailability for outage schedules (including extended 12-hour shifts)Ability to respond to plant and emergency situationsNice to HavePower generation or turbine experience (industrial or military)Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens (e.g., Studio 5000), or similar systemsHMI experienceThe entry rate for this position is $35.28 per hour, with experienced candidates eligible for higher starting rates based on qualifications and relevant work experience, up to the fully qualified rate of $51.91 per hour.Why Join Our Team?At bp, we provide an excellent working environment and employee benefits such as a great work-life balance, tremendous learning and development opportunities to craft your career path, life and health insurance, medical care package and many others!We support our people to learn and grow in a diverse and exciting environment.
