Instructional Paraprofessional
The North Plainfield School District invites applications for an Instructional Paraprofessional. In this role, you will play a vital role in creating a culture of success where all students thrive. Responsibilities:
- Assist with individualized instruction
- Work with small groups of students under the supervision of the classroom teacher
- Reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher
- Complete data collection forms to monitor and support student progress
- Assist students with projects, activities, crafts, and curriculum tasks
- Assist with student supervision (e.g., playground, lunchroom, arrival/dismissal)
- Perform other appropriate duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration
Qualifications:
- 60 college credits or a passing grade on the Paraprofessional Praxis
- Ability to work productively in a collaborative setting
- Experience working with students preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $22.27 per hour (minimum) to $27.60 per hour (maximum) commensurate with experience. Compensation and benefits are provided in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
