Instructional Paraprofessional
The Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking an instructional paraprofessional to assist students in special education for life skills/learning support at the High School. This is a full-time, 10-month position which includes paid time off (personal and sick days) and is eligible for full benefits (medical, prescription, dental, and vision). The hours for this position is 7:40 a.m.-3:10 p.m. and is available at the start of the school year.
Teacher certification is not required, however it is preferred for this position.
Purpose of Position
At the direction of the principal, assists teachers by performing a variety of tasks that promote student learning and well-being. Works individually and in small groups with students to reinforce instruction, monitor performance, and support learning. This position also performs a variety of instructional and classroom management supports.
Terms of Employment
- Full-time (7.5 hours/day); 10 months
Compensation
The starting hourly rate SY) for this position is $21.00 in accordance with terms of the Perkiomen Valley Educational Support Personnel Association Collective Bargaining Agreement
