Instructional Designer/Technical TrainerWith the Instructional Designer/Technical Trainer position, a strong combination of skills in the following areas that demonstrate relevant experience and skills is needed.Primary Duties:Design, develop, and deliver classroom, online (web-based), and e-learning courseware for web-based applications that effectively organizes and communicates technical subject matter and business processesAnalyze business documentation to determine functions and interfaces necessary for trainingConfer with users, the business, and the development teams to ascertain training requirements.Compose content documentation for both technical and business processes including flow charts, file layouts, instructional objectives, narratives, etc.Produce the course design, including storyboards used by eLearning developers.Develop training materials, communications, job aids, and other relevant learning toolsIdentify the detailed work tasks, priorities and resources to manage project time line to implement the defined deployment and training strategies.Conduct training for provider organizations, internal staff, and others on the use of web-based applications including some basic training relative to business process reengineering.Manage application training projects across multiple, cross-functional business process and technical deployment teams that involve integration of EOHHS & Agency operations and support services as well as those provided by several EOHHS vendors/business associatesDevelop newsletters, brochures, and notices in collaboration with the business and project teams to address ongoing communications needs, special situations, changes in policy or procedure, or launches of new online servicesEvaluate educational products and communications to ensure compliance with ADA 508 standards.Training Environment and Configuration ManagementUpdate and maintain training environments—prep files for upload, troubleshoot issues with technical team, schedule updates, create training scenarios—requires familiarity with XML codeOther duties may include:Work the training registrar to support educational events in the learning management systemPerform other related duties as requiredPreferred QualificationsUndergraduate degree in instructional design, learning theories, training and development or related field.
