Instructional Designer

The Instructional Designer designs and develops impactful learning solutions that enhance employee performance and support business objectives. This role partners with stakeholders and subject matter experts to assess learning needs, create engaging instructional content, and deliver innovative learning experiences across multiple modalities. Using instructional design expertise and adult learning principles, the consultant recommends and implements effective learning strategies that drive capability development, knowledge retention, and organizational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to assess learning needs and design effective learning solutions that support organizational goals.
- Design, develop, and maintain engaging learning experiences using instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles across multiple modalities, including e-learning, virtual instructor-led, instructor-led, and blended learning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure learning solutions align with business objectives, organizational standards, and learner needs.
- Analyze performance gaps and recommend learning strategies, content, and development approaches that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Create interactive learning content, job aids, assessments, and other performance support resources to enhance knowledge retention and skill development.
- Manage multiple learning projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Experience designing and developing e-learning content using Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) and Camtasia.
- Experience applying instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE, SAM, or similar frameworks.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and learning technologies.
- Experience conducting learning needs analyses and translating business needs into learning solutions.
- Strong stakeholder consultation, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Synthesia, Adobe Audition, and video-based learning development.
- Experience utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience developing blended learning programs that include digital, virtual, and instructor-led components.
- Professional proficiency in both English and Canadian French.
- Experience measuring learning effectiveness and using data to improve learning outcomes.

Compensation: Expected compensation for this role ranges from $ 71,400.00 - 113,925.00 annually. Actual salary offered to successful candidates will vary based on their skills and experience.
