Instructional Designer - Instructional Designer II
Location: Bellevue, Washington (Onsite)
Compensation: $34 - $44 Hourly
Role Overview
Our client is seeking an Instructional Designer (ID) to join the Central Ops Learning team. This role focuses on developing and building innovative and scalable learning products for Associate process path training. The successful candidate will be proficient in LMS administration and the Articulate 360 Suite, and will partner with various stakeholders, including Software Development Engineers, to deliver integrated learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Write clear and concise standard work for ID processes.
- Develop and design learning content using Articulate Storyline 360.
- Build instructor-led and self-paced trainings.
- Utilize needs analysis to identify learning objectives and create engaging learning materials.
- Interpret data trends to adjust content.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand learning objectives and present solutions.
- Manage project tasks and milestones within standard project management platforms.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in instructional design, educational technology, organizational development, or a related field is required.
Experience: Candidates must have 3+ years of work experience in instructional design and 3+ years of advanced experience with Articulate Storyline.
Technical Skills:
- Experience developing self-paced eLearning curriculum, storyboards, job aids, online tutorials, and assessments.
- Familiarity with leveraging AI tools to streamline and improve work processes.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
Other Skills:
- Ability to absorb and explain complex information efficiently.
- Capability to manage multi-channel tasks and adjust priorities.
- Ability to travel up to once per quarter is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a related discipline such as instructional design or adult education.
- Experience incorporating xAPI to report and track learner data.
- Coding skills including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, or project management (e.g., CPLP, CPT).
- Project management experience, including planning, time management, and delivering results.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization.
- Experience with testing or validation processes and procedures.
