We are seeking a creative and experienced Instructional Design Contractor to join our Talent Development team for a minimum of 6 months, with potential for extension.
This role will contribute to the design and development of engaging, inclusive, and innovative learning materials that support organizational learning initiatives.
Candidates must provide a portfolio or samples of work to be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and program managers to assess learning needs and develop targeted instructional materials.
- Design and develop interactive and learner-centered content across various modalities, including Virtually Led Training (VLT), Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Blended Learning, Microlearning, Video, Infographics, and Animation.
- Apply instructional design principles and technologies to enhance learner engagement and retention.
- Create multimedia content such as videos, animations, simulations, and interactive PDFs.
- Develop supporting learning assets including participant guides, facilitator guides, workbooks, and job aids.
- Conduct content analysis and needs assessments to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design assessments, quizzes, and evaluations to measure learning effectiveness.
- Stay current with trends and technologies in adult learning and instructional design.
- Ensure instructional materials are accessible, inclusive, and culturally responsive.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality learning solutions within project timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in instructional design or curriculum development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to design modern, clean, and immersive learning experiences.
- Proficiency in instructional design methodologies including storyboarding, needs analysis, and evaluation.
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Rise, Storyline), LMS platforms, Camtasia, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects remotely.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and diverse learning styles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with gamification, role-playing, and social learning strategies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams or other virtual meeting platforms.
- Prior experience in project-based environments with Agile or iterative development approaches.
