Assistance for Severely Disabled and Physically Disabled Students
Under general supervision, assist a certificated teacher in the education, training, caretaking, and supervision of severely disabled and/or physically disabled students; implement self-help, social, and community skills; perform a variety of duties both in and out of the classroom; care for the physical needs of the students; perform a variety of clerical duties in support of the instructional program.
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school; formal or informal education sufficient to read, write, and communicate at the level required for successful job performance; and some successful recent experience interacting with disabled youth. Valid California Class C driver's license. The successful candidate must be cleared by the Department of Justice prior to employment as required by law.
