Instructional Assistant - Preschool (Part-Time)
Preschool IA supports instruction and development in the classroom. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Support children in daily routines and instructional activities
- Work collaboratively under the direction of the lead classroom teacher
- Collect student data as needed
- Communicate effectively with young children and other adults
- Willingness to learn best practices in preschool settings
Qualifications:
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
- Familiarity with developmentally appropriate practices and techniques for young learners
- CDA credential preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass a child care background check
Physical demands include working in a typical office setting, using standard office equipment, reading printed materials and a computer screen, and communicating in person or over the telephone.
