Instructional Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated Instructional Assistant to support students in a Self-Contained Sustained Support Special Education classroom. This position works closely with the Special Education Teacher to provide academic, behavioral, and daily living support for students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Support students with academics, behavior, and social-emotional development.
- Assist with implementing IEP goals and behavior plans.
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
- Collect student data and document progress.
- Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and personal care needs as required.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive, student-centered approach.
- Previous special education or behavioral support experience is a plus.
