Instructional Assistant for Special Education

Reports to the Principal
Responsibilities:
- Assist the special education student in a self-contained classroom in the following areas:
- Reinforcing skills taught by the classroom teacher
- Taking data on behavioral, communication, socialization, and motivational objectives
- Intervene to manage behavior problems when necessary
- Carry out written behavior intervention plans
- Accompany student to various locations on school grounds
Qualifications:
- Two Year Associates Degree OR 60 Hours of Coursework OR ParaPro Assessment Test
Terms of Employment: 185 Days Full time position with SC State Benefits
