Instructional Aide - Transitional Kindergarten

Paraprofessional

Under supervision to perform a variety of instructional and clerical duties designed to free the instructor from routine work related to the educational program and to do related work as required.

Minimum one year experience working with school-age children in an organized setting is required. The Every Child Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires schools to be in compliance when hiring paraprofessionals for classroom instruction. The following requirements are: • Graduation from High School or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency, and • Completion of two years of higher education (48 semester units) or • Possession of an Associate's degree or higher or • Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting instruction Note: The following documents need to be attached to the application to be considered. 1) Copy of High School Diploma or G.E.D. 2) Copy of College Transcripts or College Degree 3) California Driver's License required

TRANSCRIPT VERIFICATION: Transcripts and degrees earned outside of the United States must be accompanied by a full evaluation report from a regionally accredited foreign credential evaluation agency.
