Paraprofessional Instructional Aide
The instructional aide works under the supervision of a certified classroom teacher assisting the teacher in the preparation and management of classroom activities, instruction, and administrative requirements. The aide assists the teacher in the implementation of a highly structured program designed to help students meet individual goals as well as local and state expectations.
High school diploma or equivalent
- Have completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (48 college hours); have obtained an Associate's (or higher) degree; OR have the ability to meet a rigorous standard of quality demonstrated through a formal state or local academic assessment
- Knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics
- Ability to work well with students
- Knowledge of general office equipment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with children preferred
Pay Grade 2 $16.00/hr Min - $22.00/hr Max Based on experience 187 Days
