Job Description

Contingent upon grant funding. Under the supervision of the school site Principal, assists teachers in providing for the educational and special needs of targeted students in the classroom and performs routine clerical duties as may be assigned. This position will be assisting teachers with reading and literacy intervention for TK-3rd grade students at Jefferson Elementary School in Taft, CA.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education: Proof of High School Diploma, Associates degree, 48 semester units at an accredited college or university, or successful completion of the paraprofessional exam (provided by the district). Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice as well as a physical clearance are conditions of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met.
