Instructional Aide in Woonsocket, RI

Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students in educational settings near Woonsocket, RI! Multiple paraprofessional opportunities are available at the high school, middle school, elementary, and kindergarten levels, with various full-time schedules Monday through Friday. Assignments begin August 31, 2026, and continue through June 10, 2027.
Your skills will play a crucial role in assisting teachers and fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Depending on the assignment, your schedule will align with school hours, providing a consistent weekly routine.
Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Rhode Island Teaching Assistant (RI TA) Certification or a CNA credential paired with relevant experience in schools
• Demonstrated ability to support students' academic, behavioral, and social needs in a classroom setting
• Flexibility to work collaboratively as part of a team across different school levels
• Strong communication skills and a reliable, professional demeanor
• A passion for promoting a positive school experience for students of varying abilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with classroom activities, one-on-one and small group instruction
• Support individualized education plans (IEPs) when appropriate
• Foster a safe, respectful, and productive environment for all students
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing consistent encouragement and redirection as needed
• Help with arrival, dismissal, transitions, and lunchtime supervision
